Unpacking A Journey

I used to think unpacking after the journey ended meant putting away the clothes and toiletries …

But only after I complete half-done, on-the-spot sketches in my sketchbook;

process the half-written notes and observations about the places visited in my diary;

relive the photographs clicked over and over again till the memories get cast in stone and gold;

finish the mental conversations with the locals and interesting souls ( could be the local flora and fauna and rocks) I people-watched there ( soul-watched?);

analyse the changes in my own perspectives –

I realise that I can never really completely unpack.
